I liked this post. It makes me think of all the things I tend to ALWAYS carry, the things I ALWAYS need next to me before I go to bed.

I am with you on the blog journal. I feel like a newspaper reporter trying to get ideas for a story but it’s usually just repressed memories.

I think I have become a reading freak lately. I just finished my fifth civil war novel and I’m pretty sure a trip to Gettysburg is eminent now.

I’m on a big WWII kick right now, but one of my bosses just gave me a book comparing Lee & Grant, so maybe that will be my next thing. I read Killer Angels a couple of years ago, and liked it.

My guilty Olympic obsession, and it’s usually only scratchable during non-prime time, is Curling.

It’s fascinatingly mind-numbing!

I don’t even know what curling is. Is it a summer or a winter sport? Is that the one where somebody pushes a puck across ice and then somebody else sweeps the area with a broom?

I’m a big fan of the Olympics, especially gymnastics.
I’m not a big fan of the Olympics in China. Sorry.
We have very similar taste in music, but not the same songs. At least not the ones shown.
I think this is my favorite meme. I’ve enjoyed seeing it around.

I can see you waiting to pounce on unsuspecting strangers with your brag book. I still do that with pics of my sons.

Clinique Happy smells so nice. I have the body lotion.

When Matt reads this you might need to relocate the shhhhhh… secret stash.

I too want to hike the Appalachian Trail. Maybe I will see you along the trail. I will be the one begging strangers for a ride.

I rec’d that brag book as a gift after the imp was born, and I thought the concept was a little silly at the time. Now it’s one of my favorite gifts to give new parents. Matt knows about the stash, but he also knows I keep an accurate inventory and he dares not interfere with my supply
